Our Trip Through NM

Well, we just got through with a whirlwind of a road trip through the "Land of Enchantment". Our first destination was Red River for the Family Encampment they have every summer. This was the first time there, and we loved it. Not only was it a beautiful place, but the company was just as wonderful. We had so many friends from our different "cirlces" up there and were never bored. We stayed in a very large cabin with friends from church so that was a vacation in itself. We listened to great speakers, amazing singing groups and had one of the best milkshakes ever! We definately will keep Red River as a Summer to-do!

After a few days in Red River, we decided to drive down to Taos for the afternoon to shop the Plaza. Devin had never been so we walked through all the little shops and splurged on some chocolates from Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory. Mmmm.

After shopping, we headed South to one of our favorite places...Blue Haven. We made it for Monday night Steak Dinner, so we had the opportunity to visit with wonderful people. It's hard to stay away from that place, especially when there are special people going through there all summer.

Now we are back in 100+degree Texas weather, and have to be out of our home by Saturday. Let the craziness begin!

Well... I finally got a job!!!!! God is good! I will be a 1st Grade Teacher at Roberts Elementary in Lubbock! I am so excited that things are coming together. We also signed on a rental place here in town, so we can officially be Lubbock-ites once again!

Like I said, God is good, and I am so thankful for the patience this summer while trying to find a new job. I can't wait to decorate a new classroom, not drive as far, AND have Target to drive past on my way home everyday :) !!

Now, back to packing :)

Bless Blue Haven Forever...

Welp, another year has come and gone of camp. This made my 17th first session at this special place. Not only was this the place I commited my life to Christ, but it is also the place where I met my other love :). We had the joy to be apart of the teaching team this year, and our group was the 5th and 6th grade boys. I really never knew just how distracting a lizard could be! Our study was on the book of James and I feel that we did our best to help those kiddos learn more about it. Like I said, this place has so many memories for us, but it wouldnt be camp without the people. God has truly blessed us with wonderful relationships that will last us a long time!

On the other hand... IT'S SUMMER! I have officially left Muleshoe and am currently looking for another teaching job in the Lubbock area. I know God has something great in store for me!
