8months

Oh, sweet Adeline. You're growing too fast. I know I say that every month... but you won't stop! 

Your personality is really starting to shine through! You are such a joy to your Daddy and I, and to anyone who walks past you! You have definitely found your voice! You love to babble, sometimes "mama" and "dada" will come out. Puffs are your new favorite food (we need to fix that!). You scoot all over, but haven't quite figured out crawling on your knees. You got your first little nasty cold... but you kicked that in the rear! 

We are so thankful for you sweet girl. We are thankful for your good health, beautiful smile, and Saturday morning cuddles. As tough as it is to watch you get bigger, you are more fun each new day!

Merry Christmas

We had a new Christmas. A wonderful Christmas. A Christmas where we were "Santa". A quiet Christmas. A Christmas at home. Would not have changed anything about Adeline's 1st Christmas. 

We did lunch Christmas Eve in Tarzan, then came home. We made cookies for Santa, had a "Microwave" dinner, put Adeline to bed (in her crib!), and fixed up stockings and put presents under the tree. 

Christmas morning. Oh what fun! Will Adeline remember it? No. Will we? Yes. Devin and Adeline are probably so tired of my picture taking, but I love making these little moments as a family. 

7months

The months are starting to fly by. I don't like it. Baby girl, you are growing too fast. They tell you not to blink, I need to stop blinking!

As much as I don't like packing away clothes that are too small, going up a size in diapers, watching you learn new things is so fun! 

You can sit up ON YOUR OWN, sleep through the night in your crib, and eat table food! You have tried avocado, sweet potato ( your fave! ), carrots, banana, and peas (yuck). You say "mama" and it melts my heart. You love to splash in the big tub and chew on the rubber ducky's head. I wonder what new things I will get to write about next month. 

We love you sweet Adeline. 

6months

You are 6months old!!!

Oh girl, you are getting such a personality! You laugh, throw fits (..yay), and getting clingy to your mama! :) It's ok, I don't mind! 

You can SIT UP on your own now!

You are 17lbs and 26in long! Baby girl, you're growing!! 

I am so looking forward to this Christmas with you! Your daddy and I are going to love starting new family traditions just us!

Sweet Adeline, 

Life has been so much fun with you! You have TWO teeth already (bottom two)!! You are giggling, rolling around, and SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! You have been on your first big road trip! We went all the way down to Corpus to watch your uncle Dylan marry Aunt Courtney! It was fun! You stuck your toes in the sand and had the best time meeting family!

Sweet Adeline, you are 4 months old! I'm in a love/hate relationship with time right now... I love all the new about you, but it's so bittersweet to watch you get bigger!

Speaking of bigger, at your 4mos check up, you were 15lbs 6oz and 25in long! You've doubled that birth weight! 

Also at your check up, you got 3 shots that gave you your first sick day at home with Mommy!

3 months

Sweet Adeline, happy 3 months! We love you more and more each day! We just sit and stare, whether you're sleeping or crying or smiling back at us, we love watching you. This month has been the hardest on us (mommy especially) since school has started back up and you are now spending days with miss Tiffanie (who you love)! We have gotten you to laugh, it melts your daddy's heart! You smile so big and bat your pretty blue eyes... And that makes your daddy nervous! Haha! It's bittersweet to watch you grow. I want to bottle up your sweet baby smell, but I love the new things you show us daily! Love love love you baby girl!

2 Months

You are two months old Sweet Adeline! You are so smiley, starting to "talk" to us, and wiggle around so much! You enjoy shopping trips with your mommy, and love Sunday (pre-church) mornings with Daddy. You have done two days with your babysitter and did so good!! You are starting to drink your bottles (finally) and even enjoy a paci every now and then. Mommy was sad to put up your newborn clothes, but she still loves playing dress up with the next size! Daddy loves trying to match bows with your outfit. He sure is smitten with you and all the cuteness you bring!

5 Years

Happy Anniversary to my hubby!

It's been 5 years since we said "I Do" in the scorching metroplex summer heat. 

(Worth every drop of sweat)

This past year was full of its ups and downs. A new home, the excitement of a new babe, the sorrow and loss of a wonderful man, and the birth of that sweet babe. I wouldn't trade who to go through those ups and downs with at all! 

For our anniversary, the hubs had our day planned. We went and layed in mattresses and got a new one (yay us!), went to Target (twice!), enjoyed our sweet girl, and went out to eat just the two of us  (mom only cried once)! I can't wait to see what life gives us this next year! 

1 Month

We have survived a month with our Sweet Adeline! I can't believe how fast time has gone. She is the sweetest little babe and worth all of the lost sleep. 

Adeline loves to sleep (during the day), nap on her tummy, grunt and growl at mommy when eating, smile (not just when gassy anymore!), and loves her car seat! We have been able to get out as a family several times, learning that it is different though! She's made it through 2 church services so far, and loves shopping with mommy at Target. 

We love you sweet Adeline Lucille. Thankful for this month of cuddles, learning, and watching you grow.

These are a few of my favorite things...

Baby girl, you don't know what you're doing to my heart strings. I can't stop staring at your sweet face, kissing your little hands and fingers, and soaking up all of your cuddles. You are almost a month old. How?! I don't like that time goes by so quickly, but you are already growing into such a beautiful little miss.
