Ruidoso, my friends, is one of my all time favorite mountain towns... and guess who had never been?! Well we had a little holiday from school Friday, so I told Devin to pack his bags a few days before. We left Thursday after we got off of work, and mountain bound we were!
(For those of you who have not experienced the stretch of road between Portales and Roswell... You're missing out on beautiful stars, but a creepy dark, and lonely drive!)
No, we didnt go to ski... Little did he know we had some SHOPPING to do! So we walked, talked, and shopped all day Friday and even some on Saturday. We ate great food, saw the sights, and even did a cheese tasting...Hehe!
It was such a wonderful, quick little getaway that I would not have wanted to share with anyone else!

6 Months :)
Can't believe it's already been 1/2 a year since our wedding!!! Things are sure flying by! I cannot imagine these past 6 months going any differently! Ups and downs, of course, but we are growing together and loving each other more and more each day! We are tremendously blessed and can't WAIT to see what God has in store for us for the future!

2012 is Here!!
Yes, it may be a few days into our New Year already, but HAPPY 2012!!! Ever since I graduated High School, at New Year's I always think, "I graduated ___ years ago...crazy".. and now it's 8! For some of you that is not a lot, but it seems forever ago to me! :)
The end of our Xmas break was so nice. After time with Devin's family, we went down and spent time with mine. It was so much fun to walk around our farm and hear from my grandmother how things have changed since she was a little girl there, and watch my dad cut deer meat so we could have his WONDERFUL, yummy jerky...lol! I also got to bring Devin to meet some dear friends of mine that I grew up in the youth group with! So much fun to look around at friend's wedding rings and kiddos and see how "grown up" we are all getting! The break went by fast and we had to come home, of course. New Year's Eve was spent with wonderful friends playing games and eating good food. I love holidays... they're just so much fun!
School has started and Devin is back at work... yay for routines! (Hint the sarcasm)
Goodbye 2011, you have been such a great year! Devin and I got married, I finished my first teaching year with my sanity left, fun trips and stronger relationships with God, family and friends!
Anyhoo, I hope this year brings you tons of joy, tons of laughter and thankfulness that our God blessed us with "new beginnings".
