Anniversary Trip

Well, since Devin was on Mission Trip the week of our Anniversary, we waited till he got back to go anywhere. We just got back from a week in the DFW area. It was definitely relaxing and very enjoyable! While there, we took in (of course) a Ranger game, had dinner with wonderful friends, had some family time, and indulged way too much on GREAT food! Devin was such a trooper and took on Nordstrom, IKEA, and the whole Northpark Mall with me. We also took a tour of Ranger Ballpark, and boy, did we learn a lot! We were able to see what goes on behind the scenes, sit in the dugout, and got a glimpse of the inside of their clubhouse while they were getting ready! We have never really been able to just be out and about while in that area... so this trip was just wonderful!

A Lego Family

One Year!

Woah, how time flies! A year ago today, I was getting ready to marry my best friend. I worried and dwelled so much on what decorations were being used, how people were trying to change my mind on how to do things, and that is was hotter than ever outside! I got ready, enjoyed time with my bridesmaids and finally got to go see my guy. Once I saw him, none of that silliness mattered. Today was about the two of us, not how the lanterns were hung.

It has been a wonderful year, full of highs and lows, but lessons have been learned and we are stronger today because of it. We have moved, unpacked, resigned from jobs, gotten new ones, and now ready to move in and start a new journey again. I would not want to share this time with anyone else. He encourages me everyday and makes me smile even when I don't want to. Today is not the greatest of anniversaries because we are apart. He has gone to the youth group mission trip and won't be back until    the end of the week. The sweetie sent me roses though, and let me know that he was thinking of me :).
I could not ask for a more wonderful guy to spend the rest of my life with and start a family with. God has truly blessed me.

6 Years

Well, today it has been 6 years since Devin and I's first date! I cannot believe how time flies! Monday is our 1st Wedding Anniversary and again, whew, did that go by fast! It has been a wonderful ride so far and I am so super excited to see where God leads us in the future! I love you hubby!
